REX A. HAMMARBACK (Owner)
Rex Hammarback was born in Ada, Minnesota and attended public schools in Ada, Minnesota, Anchorage, Alaska, Eugene, Oregon, and graduated from high school in Crookston, Minnesota, in 1972. He is an honors graduate of North Dakota State University and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society. Mr. Hammarback graduated from the University of North Dakota Law School in 1985 and is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in Minnesota and North Dakota; and the Eighth Circuit Court.
Mr. Hammarback has broad experience in the general practice of law. He has been involved in civil litigation, including complex aviation crash cases and federal civil rights claims involving airports. He has extensive experience in multi-party, multi-state litigation involving claims in excess of several million dollars. He has litigated and defended wrongful death cases, and has trial experience with serious personal injury cases, including medical malpractice cases.
Mr. Hammarback also has extensive experience as a member of the board of directors of public corporations, public non-profit corporations, and charitable organizations.
He has held the position of Chief Operational Officer for a multi-million dollar corporation. His responsibilities have included; annual budgeting; private and public lending; personnel recruitment and hiring; officers and directors liability; real estate transactions; research and development contracts and contract dispute resolution.
Mr. Hammarback served as an agency seminar specialist for Lutheran Brotherhood in the 1990’s. Lutheran Brotherhood was a fraternal benefit insurance company. As an agency specialist, Mr. Hammarback reviewed literally hundreds of estates for estate planning purposes. He has probated complex estates in Minnesota and North Dakota. He has presented hundreds of seminars on estate planning.
Mr. Hammarback was formerly a registered securities representative licensed by the National Association of Securities Dealers. He is also a licensed airline transport pilot and holds a type rating in the Cessna Citation Corporate Jet. He has five thousand hours of flight experience in over seventy-five different types of aircraft. He currently lives in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
